Chieftain India Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah made a sensational delivery to dismiss Liam Livingstone for a duck in the first ODI at the Kennington Oval. Bumrah brought his A-game to the table with the new ball as he took four wickets to demolish England’s batting line-up in the Powerplay.

In the eighth over of the match, Livingstone tried to take charge on Bumrah and went down the ground but he exposed his stumps and the Indian pacer produced a sensational inswinger to hit the wood.

Earlier in the second T20I, Bumrah made a slow clean to Livingstone, who came back inside and completely outplayed him.

Bumrah had a sensational day with the ball on Tuesday as he dismissed Jason Roy and Joe Root for ducks in his first over and then Jonny Bairstow (7) in the second over.

The 28-year-old took full advantage of Badal’s situation as the England batsmen had no answer for Bumrah’s carnage with the ball.

Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl to take advantage of the stormy conditions as Bumrah and Shami made life difficult for the English batsmen in the middle.

At the toss, Rohit said that he understands the importance of overseas matches and wants to achieve the desired result in the ODI series.

“We are going to bowl first. There is some grass cover as well as it is cloudy. I think the sun will come out in some time. We want to score in front of us. Shami, Bumrah – those guys can swing the ball. It is important to take the wickets ahead and put the brakes on the scoring. We understand the importance of playing overseas, we want to do well outside India. Today is no different. We have five batsmen, two all-rounders. Kohli is not playing this game, Shreyas will bat at 3,” Rohit said at the toss.


While Buttler was excited to get his opening players Root, Bairstow and Stokes back after missing out on the T20I series. However, all three had a terrible day with the bat.
