In Bihar’s Bettiah, a teacher brutally thrashed a class 5 student on Friday. The beating was such that there were belt marks on the student’s body from top to bottom. He got injured. He has been admitted to Bettiah GMCH for treatment. The student’s family and villagers created a ruckus in the school. After this the accused teacher was brought to the police station and released after questioning.

The matter is of Government Basic School of Lalgarh village of Chanpatia block. Ajit Kumar (9), son of Shiv Ji Paswan, a resident of Lalgarh ward number 5, studies here. Ajit told that we were playing eye-catching. On hearing the noise, teacher Rajesh Kumar Rai came and caught him. He was beaten with a belt.
