Impact: Vikas Engine was tested for the third time. India News – Times of India

Bengaluru: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said on Wednesday that it conducted another long-term hot test of the Pro’s liquid propellant engine GSLV MkIII (launch vehicle).
ISRO successfully conducts third long-duration hot test of liquid propellant development engine For core L110 liquid stage of manned rated GSLV MkIII vehicle, as part of engine qualification requirements gagakonan program,” the space agency said.
The engine was fired for a duration of 240 seconds at the Engine Test Facility of ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu.
“The engine performance met the test objectives and the engine parameters closely matched with the predictions throughout the test period,” ISRO said.
Scientists associated with Gaganyaan had told TOI in the last week of June that progress has been made on the human rating of the system, but ISRO is yet to officially review the timeline of the program which is affected by multiple lockdowns and related restrictions.
And, as previously reported by TOI, the space agency decided in April to go ahead with unmanned missions, even without some aspects of the indigenous data relay satellite and human rating of the system. that serves to ensure that they are ready long before the launch of humans.
Even the Gaganyaan Advisory Council (GAC) held in the last week of March had advised ISRO not to delay the mission without a crew.
