The Indian Express report quoted an IIM principal as saying, “The possibility of bringing all technical education institutions under the control of HECI was discussed during a presentation made by then AICTE chairman Anil Sahasrabuddhe in December 2021. However, in the first few months of 2022, some directors of IIMs collectively wrote a letter to the ministry opposing the idea.”
