Hrithik Roshan Starrer ‘Fighter’ Movie To Feature IAF Sukhoi Su-30 MKI Jet – Report

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan will soon be playing the lead role of an Indian Air Force fighter jet pilot in the upcoming film titled ‘Fighter’. In the recently released teaser image, Hrithik can be seen standing beside two fighter jets, whose engine nozzles are visible. While the jets are not visible in the first teaser of the film, a report in Eurasian Times confirms that Hrithik Roshan will be flying the Russian-made Sukhoi Su-30 MKI ‘Flanker-H’. The film is considered to be India’s first aerial action film and draws inspiration from the successful Hollywood film ‘Top Gun’ starring Tom Cruise.

The report further states that Indian Air Force officials have confirmed that the film was shot in Tezpur (Assam), Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad), Gwalior and Mumbai. Tezpur Air Force Base in Assam is home to the No. 2 Squadron of the Indian Air Force which flies the Sukhoi Su-30 MKI. On the other hand, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh is home to the Tactics and Combat Development Establishment (TACDE) of the IAF.
