Holi 2023: Lucknow Metro Revises Timings, Train Services To Begin Late on March 8

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) officials announced here on Tuesday that on the day of Holi, metro train service will start in the state capital at 2.30 pm. The service will start at 2.30 pm on Wednesday from both the hubs- CCS Airport Metro Station and Munshipulia Metro Station and will continue till 10 pm as usual. Rangotsav will be celebrated on Wednesday.

Similarly, the preparations of other metro corporations in other cities have also changed the service timings to suit the needs of the commuters. Earlier, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the organization responsible for operating the Delhi Metro, released the updated train schedule. According to DMRC officials, Metro services will start at 2:30 pm on Holi. The festival of colors will be celebrated on 8 March 2023.

Metro train services will resume on that day at 2:30 pm from terminal stations on all lines and will continue as normal thereafter. “Metro train services will thus commence at 14.30 hrs (2:30 PM) from terminal stations on all lines on March 08 and will continue as usual thereafter,” DMRC said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh is preparing to start the services of Agra Metro. According to an official announcement by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), the first train set for the upcoming Agra Metro project has arrived. The train set, which was painted in a distinctive shade of yellow, landed at Agra Metro Depot on Monday, March 6.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said in February that metro services would be available for the residents of Agra by early 2024. According to a PTI report, there will be a total of 28 trains for the Agra Metro. and six for the priority corridor. The metro train will have state-of-the-art technology and an elegant appearance.
