Actress Arundhati Nag has earned her name in both theater and films. The Managing Trustee and Founder of Sanket Trust has acted in several plays in different regional languages. Sanket Trust, established in 1992 by Arundhati, manages Rang Shankar, a popular theater complex in Bengaluru.

The iconic theater personality is celebrating his 66th birthday on 6th July. Born in Delhi in 1956, Arundhati was raised in Mumbai after her family moved to the city, when she was only 10 years old.

Arundhati’s acting career spans over 40 years in both theater and films. In an earlier interview she revealed that running Rang Shankar keeps her going. The actress said, “After doing theater for 25 years, I feel it is my religion and I also believe to find a purpose and means to follow it.”

Arundhati Nag cannot be tied to any one language in the entertainment industry. He has acted in both plays and films in various languages ​​including Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.

He has acted in films like Escape Live, Accident, Drama, The Man Who Knew Infinity, Paa and Golibar.

He also won the Padma Shri and National Film Awards in 2010. In addition, she is the recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for the year 2008.

After the death of her husband and renowned actor-director Shankar Nag, Arundhati faced tough times.

“When I came out of the trauma, there was a collapsed world around me – a young daughter, no money, and a huge debt. I had only Rs 5,000 in my account,” Arundhati revealed in an earlier interview.
