Hansal Mehta to bring life of RAW founder Rameshwar Nath Kao on screen with new web series

Renowned filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who tasted success with his web series ‘Scam 1992’, is coming up with SonyLIV for his next film based on RK Yadav’s book ‘Mission Raw’. Danish Khan, SonyLIV Head, Sony Entertainment Television and StudioNext, said, “We are delighted to have India’s favorite storyteller Hansal Mehta tell the story of Rameshwar Nath Kao, Founder, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

“Mission Raw by RK Yadav is one of the most comprehensive books on our intelligence team and their operations. The series takes the background of what it takes to keep India safe and will be a fascinating exploration of some of our country’s real heroes who deserve Celebrated.”

The show is produced by Almighty Motion Pictures (producer Prabhleen Kaur Sandhu) and adapted for the screen by Karan Vyas. The show will trace the journey and adventures of Rameshwar Nath Kao, the first chief of RAW, in the wake of the growing turmoil with the country’s neighbours.

The show will also showcase covert intelligence operations and how many of these strategies and actions have shaped the geopolitics of our region.

Hansal said, “As a storyteller, my endeavor has always been to bring alive stories and explore common people and their extraordinary deeds. These are the people who have strengthened our political and military history. Rameshwar Nath Kao He was known to be a genius. Little is known.”
