Haj 2022 registration is open till 22nd April. Check Steps to Fill Haj Application Form

New Delhi: Haj Committee of India (HCI) released the online application form for this year’s Haj on April 9, 2022. Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to the ‘Kaaba’ in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The last date to fill the application form for Haj 2022 is April 22, 2022.

HCI recently issued new guidelines for Haj 2022, which were announced by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. According to a circular dated April 9, 2022, this year’s Hajj is open to those who are under the age of 65, and have received an approved COVID-19 vaccination by the Saudi Ministry of Health.

Also, pilgrims arriving from outside Saudi Arabia are required to submit a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR result from the test done within 72 hours of departure in the country.

According to the circular, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also directed that all pilgrims should follow health instructions and follow all precautionary measures to maintain their health and safety while performing Haj rituals.

Haj applicants are also allowed to withdraw their applications for Haj 2022 if they are not willing to go on the annual pilgrimage due to the new guidelines.

There are certain requirements to fill the online application for Haj 2022. The person wishing to apply must have a computer or smartphone with proper internet connection. Also he should have a valid mobile number and a valid email id.

Steps to fill online application for Haj 2022

There are five steps to fill the online application.

Step 5: Print Haj Application Form

Following is a detailed description of each stage.

Step 1: New Registration for Haj Application

  • Visit the official website of hajcommittee.gov.in

  • Click on “Haj Form” and select “Apply”.

  • A special screen will appear, click on “New User Registration”:

  • After clicking on “New User Registration”

  • Fill the registration form carefully.

  • Applicants have to fill their mobile number, email id, first name and last name.

  • Choose Strong Password and confirm the password.

  • Enter Security Code.

  • If the information is correct, click the check box.

  • Click “Submit Details”.

  • On successful submission of registration details, a system generated OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number provided in the registration form. Activate User-ID by entering OTP number and click on “Submit” button.

  • note :- Your account will not be activated until you enter the OTP in the verification box displayed above, so don’t forget this important step. On successful submission of OTP, a confirmation message will appear on the screen.

  • After this, the registered user will have to sign-in and complete the application form filling. Enter registered mobile number and password to fill HAF online.

Step 2: Fill the Haj Application Form

After signing in a special screen will appear.

  • Click on the appropriate application category.

  • Select the number of adults from the drop down

  • Click the “Next” button

Step 2.1: Fill the details of the applicants

  • Fill applicant details (as per Indian International Passport), COVID-19 vaccination details, personal details, current residential address, enrolled details, bank account details etc.

  • Fields marked with * are mandatory.
    After entering all the details, click on declaration and then click on ‘Save and Next’ button. The above steps are to be repeated for each co-pilgrim.


Step 3: Upload photo and document

  • Step 3 to upload images will appear on the screen.

  • Now select Pilgrims from the drop down.

  • Click “Browse” to upload photos and documents.

  • All documents should be in JPG/JPEG format only.

  • Photograph (Passport size) should be between 10kb to 100kb and width should be between 100pixel to 148pixel.

  • The size of the document should be between 100kb to 500kb and the width should be between 570pixel to 795pixel.
    After uploading the photographs and documents of all the pilgrims, click on the ‘Upload’ button.

  • The above steps are to be repeated for each co-pilgrim.

Step 4: Pay the Fee

  • After uploading the images, applicants will automatically visit the link for fee payment.

  • Applicants can pay the fee through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

  • Select ‘Online Payment’ and click on “Click Here to Pay Online”.

  • After clicking on Pay Online you will be redirected to the payment gateway and make the payment.

  • On successful completion of the transaction, transaction receipt will be generated. After successful payment, please login again to HAF online for final submission.

  • Click on “Final Submission” and you will get the alert message. Click OK’.

Step 5: Print the HAF

  • A unique system generated Group ID will be displayed which indicates successful completion of online submission.

  • Click on “Download PDF” to view/print the online Haj Application Form.

  • Note :- If documents have been uploaded, no need to submit your printed HAF copy and documents to your respective State Haj Committee (SHC) at this stage.

  • If the documents are not uploaded, please submit the printed HAF copy along with the documents to your respective State Haj Committee before 31-01-2022 for completion of HAF.

  • SHC will check and verify the filled details online before generating the cover number.

  • If you have found any major mistake in HAF, you can use Delete Button.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is likely to issue more health and administrative guidelines.
