NCERT said that these changes have been made under the corona virus epidemic and National Education Policy 2020. The emphasis is on reducing the syllabus.

NCERT says that this chapter is included in the syllabus of other subjects, due to which this chapter was overlapping. The change comes two months after a suggestion made by an advisory body to the central and state governments on policies to improve school education. Under which chapters of Democracy, Mughal Court, Cold War era, Industrial Revolution and poems of Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz have been removed from the books.
