Goat is back! CM Punk set to return to AEW: Heroes and Villains at San Diego Comic-Con

AEW star CM Punk, who was forced into hiatus due to an injury just days after becoming world champion, is set to attend San Diego Comic-Con next month. Confirming the development in a press release, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Punk will be part of the AEW: Heroes & Villains panel at next month’s San Diego Comic-Con. However, the exact date of the event has not been announced yet. The panel will also include TBS Champion Jade Cargill, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy and Brian Danielson. San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 21 to July 24

While Punk’s return to the rink seems far-fetched, his first appearance is certainly good news for fans.

Punk won his first world title since 2013 by defeating Adam Page in Double or Nothing in Las Vegas earlier this month. After winning the title, a passionate Punk announced his injury and revealed that he would be undergoing surgery.

“The bad news is I am injured and I need surgery. Some things are broken, the biggest one is my heart because I love performing in front of you all and I wanted to go one hell of a run,” he said. Told

Despite the hiatus, Punk has not given up his belt and Jon Moxley was crowned interim AEW World Champion. Following his retirement from WWE in 2014, Punk returned to professional wrestling last year by debuting in AEW.

CM Punk’s fans and followers also expressed their love for the wrestler on Twitter.

One social media user wrote, “Just a reminder that CM Punk is a goat”.

Another user posted footage of Punk on Twitter and wrote in the caption, “I’ll bet this was the best thing ever to happen in wrestling history. It’s 11 years to the iconic today.”
