Two sources familiar with the matter said France has canceled a meeting between Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly and his British counterpart scheduled for this week after Australia signed a deal with Paris in favor of a deal with Washington and London. The submarine order was cancelled.
The French and British defense ministries could not immediately be reached for comment.
Sources confirmed an earlier report in the Guardian newspaper that the meeting had been cancelled.
