After two back-to-back defeats with Saaho and Radhe Shyam, Prabhas is now looking to recapture the pan-India success he achieved with the Baahubali franchise. The actor has two big-budget films – Salaar and Aadipurush – in the line. While Prashanth Neel-directed Salar is still in the filming stage, Om Raut-directed Aadipurush has reportedly finished shooting and is in the post-production stage.
Fans were a little disappointed that the shooting of the film had not been completed for months and were getting impatient with the slow updates of the film. However, looks like fans will have to wait a little longer to catch a glimpse of the first look poster of Aadipurush.
The makers plan to unveil the first look for fans on October 23, which coincides with Prabhas’ birthday. While Prabhas fans are happy to hear about the release date of Aadipurush First Look, they are a little disappointed to wait for 5 more months.
However, fans, considering that the post production work is taking such a long time, can definitely expect to see a visual miracle on screen.
Aadipurush is all set to become Prabhas’ biggest film of his career with a budget of Rs 500 crore, making it more expensive than Baahubali films. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Bhushan Kumar while confirming the budget said, ‘Adipurush is made on a budget of Rs 500 crore. For that film, we know the opening will be huge with a housefull board. Hence, we will try to optimize the demand for the film by going ahead with the blockbuster pricing. We know that people will come to watch it irrespective of the cost as it is one of its kind cinema and has limited capacity.
Adipurush is a retelling of Ramayan with Prabhas in the role of Ram, while Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh play the roles of Ravana, Sita and Laxman respectively. The film is scheduled to release on January 12 next year.
