Who is Nupur Sharma?

lawyer by profession, Sharma She was the national spokesperson till June 5. A graduate in economics from Hindu College, Delhi University, he later pursued LLB. For further studies, she went to the London School of Economics and studied law.

Since her college days, Sharma was active in student politics and was a part of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, an affiliate of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

He won the post of DU President in 2008. He has also served as a member of the National Executive Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP.

After his entry into politics, the party chose him as a face against Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections. He had to face defeat by about 31 thousand votes.

This was the time when she grew closer to the national leadership.

In the past, the West Bengal government has filed cases against Sharma for posting pictures of alleged violence in Bengal appealing to people to save Bengal.

Many people had told the veracity of the picture posted. According to sources, the West Bengal CM’s police wanted to arrest Sharma but could not, as she was alerted in time and was able to get relief from the court.

A senior party leader said, “The party’s top leaders helped Sharma evade immediate arrest, which was planned by the Bengal government due to the politics of vendetta.”

Who is Naveen Kumar Jindal?

A childhood volunteer of the Sangh, who covered crime and politics in various media organisations, Jindal faced various security threats in the past.

Speaking to News18, Jindal said that he met top Delhi Police officials for the safety of his family in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area.

“The letter of expulsion from the party was made public, which contained my address. Since then some questionable characters have been cited in my area. Also, I received threats on social media where people said that they will give good amount to those who will harm me and my family,” Kumar said.

Jindal, however, declined to comment on his expulsion. The BJP’s former Delhi media chief said, “Whatever the party decides will be for my good.”

Jindal had worked with BJYM in 1982 and was a resident of Meerut. He started his journey in media in 1989 with Punjab Kesari as his first job. After this he worked in Dainik Jagran, Rashtriya Sahara and Zee News.

Jindal claims that he started the concept of crime shows and interviewed Ghazi Baba and Afzal Guru.

He said, ‘I had also made films on Parliament attack and Akshardham attack. In the 1990s, I was shot while covering terrorism in Punjab. My house was attacked in 2002 and I got Z security.

He also contested the Delhi Assembly elections in 2003 from Geeta Colony seat, which is now Laxmi Nagar.

In the meantime, he had written a book named ‘Islamic Madrasa Benkaab’ and came under the target of madrassas.

In 2013, he resigned from Zee to join BJP Delhi as its spokesperson and gradually became the media in-charge of the Delhi unit, a position he held till his expulsion.
