In village Sisar of Hansi block of Hisar district of Haryana, villagers took hostage officers who had come to check electricity theft on Saturday morning. The villagers kept the electricity workers from 7 am to 2 pm. He was released after about 7 hours after a phone conversation with Hansi SP Nitika Gehlot and SDM Jitendra Ahlawat. The officials have assured the villagers that the checking team will not come to the house without asking. Apart from this, whatever is the problem related to electricity of the village, it will be resolved soon by forming a committee.

According to the information received, the team taken hostage included JE and other employees of Mundhal Power House. Police team also came to the spot. Villagers say that they have unanimously decided in the panchayat that as long as the farmers’ movement is going on, no government employee will enter the village without the approval of the sarpanch. But at 6 am on Saturday morning JE and other employees of Mundhal Power House entered the village and started entering people’s houses in the name of checking.

When the news of this spread in the village, they gathered all the members of the checking team and made them sit in the panchayat house and what kind of checking, neither electricity is being given. Nor are the complaints of hanging wires and sparks burning in transformers heard. On the contrary, the employees of the corporation enter their homes anytime in the name of checking. Such behavior will not be tolerated.
