In an intimate sequence between Colin and Penelope, makers added Pitbull’s hit song ‘Give Me Everything’ to set the mood of the scene.

Netflix’s latest hit series, Bridgerton, is continuing to captivate audiences with its interesting storyline in the third season. Focusing on the love story of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), Season 3 has finally got the long-awaited romance between Colin and Penelope. Known for using dreamy pop covers during intimate moments, the makers have done it again by adding Pitbull’s biggest hits to a steamy scene that recently left fans going gaga.

In the scene, as Colin professes his love for Penelope, the music swells to the unmatchable tones of Pitbull’s Give Me Everything by Archer Marsh, thus showcasing the characters’ emotions that have been building for two seasons.

While the carriage scene was one of the most anticipated moments for fans, the addition of Pitbull’s playing has made it even more iconic. It has also received a nod from the Fireball singer, who couldn’t help but gush about the song’s timeless nature.

Pitbull Reacts To His Hit Song On Bridgerton

Taking to Instagram, Pitbull shared the infamous carriage scene from Bridgerton and noted that music is the “international language that transcends boundaries.”

“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless. Thank you Bridgerton Netflix and Netflix, for the opportunity, Dale!” he wrote. The 43-year-old also tagged his original collaborators on the track, Ne-Yo and Afrojack.

Reacting to his post, the official handle of the Netflix show wrote, “This author would most certainly agree with Lord Worldwide… Music speaks when words cannot,” while Netflix UK remarked, “Welcome to the Ton Mr WorldWideeee.”

In a recent interview with Business Insider, showrunner Jess Brownell revealed that it was she who personally chose the Pitbull track for the scene. “I gotta tell you, I’m not a regular Pitbull listener, but I heard that song on the playlist without realising what song it was at first, and I just thought, this song has such an incredible build,” she said.

Pitbull rose to fame as a pop artist in the 2010s after marking an early career in reggaeton and Latin hip-hop. Over the years, he has collaborated with a number of stars like Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Enrique Iglesias and Akon.
