Prayagraj: A 57-year-old woman identified as Salma, was reportedly found murdered inside her house at Bakshi Khurd locality under Daraganj police station in Prayagraj on Tuesday afternoon. Family members said they spotted the body of woman with several injuries marks on the bed and raised an alarm.
Initial police investigations revealed that unidentified killers had stabbed the middle aged woman to death. Police said that the incident took place between 10:30 am and 12 noon when the husband of the slain woman arrived home and spotted his wife’s body lying in a pool of blood on the bed.
Upon being alerted, a team of Daraganj police along with forensic experts rushed the spot and carried out investigations.
SSP (Prayargaj) Shailesh Kumar Pandey told reporters that cops have been taking out detailed investigations into the case. He added that family members told police that they had no enmity with anyone. Cops have alsobeen scanning CCTV footages. tnn
