Ram Gopal Varma directorial Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon has hit the theaters and has created yet another controversy. The filmmaker known for his outspoken and outspoken looks is once again making headlines. RGV got angry with Telugu Big Boss fame and anchor Shyamala during the special screening of the film on Thursday.
During the special screening, Ram Gopal Varma thanked everyone for joining and at the end of the conversation, anchor Shyamala came forward and asked him some questions, which upset the filmmakers.
Shyamala asked the director to name a few films based on martial arts as a small request. Ignoring RGV’s expression, the anchor asked another question which angered the director. “Although I am very emotional right now. This is a very serious film,” he said and exited the stage.
Shyamala later apologized to the director and further clarified that her intention to ask him questions was to make the conversation more interesting.
Last month, Ram Gopal Varma had landed in a new controversy over his tweets. He tweeted linking the presidential race to Mahabharata.
“If Draupadi is the President, then who are the Pandavas? And more importantly, who are the Kauravas,” read the tweet.
Some FIRs were also registered against him. Later, the filmmaker issued a clarification saying that he had no intention of hurting anyone’s sentiments.
“It was just said in a serious irony and not intended in any other way… Draupadi is my favorite character in the Mahabharata, but since the name is so rare, I missed the respective characters and hence my expression. Absolutely not intended to hurt,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, talking about the movie Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon starring Pooja Bhalekar, Mia Mookie, Abhimanyu Singh, Tianlong Xi, Prateek Parmar and Malhotra Shivam in lead roles. The film has also released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, Pan-India and China. The film is inspired by Bruce Lee’s intelligence and his martial arts techniques.
