‘Destroyed J&K’s constitution, India next…’, Mehbooba Mufti blasts BJP

Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of destroying the Constitution of India. Mehbooba said that “BJP has destroyed the Constitution of J&K and in the coming time they will do the same with the Constitution of India, they will change the tricolor to ‘BJP’ (for which the people of Kashmir and the people of the country has given his blood) with the saffron flag.” Addressing a gathering at the grave of his father, Mufti Muhammad Syed, the Mufti said, “If powerful countries were able to use their powers to keep people intact, America would not have come out of Vietnam and Bangladesh would still be a part of Pakistan. ” Brijbihara area of ​​Anantnag in South Kashmir.

He said that people in Kashmir are being unnecessarily targeted on one pretext or the other because they are Kashmiris and not because they have done something illegal or wrong. He appealed to the people to meet the families whose children were being arrested and sent out of jails in Jammu and Kashmir or whose houses were being raided.

Mehbooba Mufti said that “there was a time during the Congress rule when the courts of the country were so strong that they gave verdict against Indira Gandhi but today our CJI said that the courts are afraid to give bail to people in false cases.” Mufti also said that today the media is also under pressure and is not speaking the truth.

Mehbooba Mufti urged her party workers not to lose faith and stay strong, saying as chief minister in Jammu and Kashmir she canceled cases of over 12,000 youths and knocked on the doors of separatists for talks. Bought leaders but unfortunately, they didn’t respect it, separatists got off the bus in 2016 by not talking to all party delegation.

He reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir did not join Godse’s India. We accepted the secular India of Gandhi and Nehru and we will fight for that identity.
