For the first time in Fighter, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan are working together. The two had announced the film last year and have been seen several times in Mumbai with director Siddharth Anand. While fans are eager to see Deepika and Hrithik together on the big screen, the actress is confident that fans will love their chemistry together.
Recently, while talking to Bollywood Hungama, Deepika was asked why people would like her and Hrithik’s chemistry on screen. The actress quipped, “Have you seen us?” She then explained, “I’ve always wanted to work with him, I feel like, you know, sometimes it’s not wanting to work with someone, I feel like there are so many things. It has to be the right script, it has to be the right director, it has to be the right time in your life. There are a lot of things that decide, so yes, I think it’s the right time for us to come together.”
The film was announced on Hrithik’s birthday in 2021. He had tweeted at the time, “Giving a glimpse of MARFLIX vision as a fighter! Looking forward to my first flight with the extraordinary Deepika Padukone. All geared up for this joyride of Siddharth Anand.”
Meanwhile, Deepika is promoting her upcoming film ‘Ghehraiyaan’ these days. Directed by Shakun Batra, the film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. The trailer released a few days back reveals that the trio are embroiled in an intense love triangle. The trailer revealed that Shakun is exploring modern-day relationships in different forms, touching on the many complex emotions that people go through.
According to the trailer, Ayesha (Deepika) and Tia (Ananya) are cousins. While Tia is engaged to Zain (Siddhant), Ayesha is with Karan (Dhairya Karva). They go on a beach vacation together, where a spark breaks out between Ayesha and Zain. The trailer shows after their decision to pursue Spark despite being in different relationships. The film is releasing on February 11 on Amazon Prime Video.
