Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh on Tuesday praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. “If CM Yogi Adityanath was not there, I could not have done so much development work for Lucknow. There will be no appreciation for the pace of development works in the state under the leadership of CM Yogi. He said that the CM had fought against Covid-19 in the state and appreciated the gesture of the CM to offer financial help for the children orphaned due to the pandemic. “Only a CM who is sensitive can take such a step. This gesture of CM Yogi has touched my heart,” Singh said.

Singh said that even after calling CM Yogi late at night, the CM ordered an immediate review of the development works done in Lucknow. “Once their officers did a midnight review,” he said. He said that he wants Lucknow to be accessible for commuters and sought the cooperation of the CM and mentioned the ongoing 104 km ring road project of Lucknow. “The pace of this project slowed down because of the contractors. We expect this project to be completed by June or October 2022. Please show your Mukhyamantri Wala Tevar (attitude) and I am sure this road will be built. Tevar aap hi dikhh sakte, tevar humse paas nahi hai (Only you can show that attitude, we don’t have that),” commented Singh.
The Defense Minister also thanked CM Yogi for immediately leasing the land for setting up the DRDO unit for production of BrahMos missile near Lucknow. “I had requested the CM to lease 250 acres of land at Re 1 for this unit near Lucknow. It was on the day of the funeral of former CM Kalyan Singh. The CM said it would happen within two months. But the CM cleared it within a day,” Rajnath Singh said.
Singh also appealed to the Chief Minister that all the posters and hoardings of Lucknow should have the picture of former Lucknow MP and PM Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. “I saw a lot of hoardings with pictures of our leaders on our way from the airport today, I think the picture of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the most prominent MP of Lucknow, should always appear above our pictures,” he said.
