Covid vaccination: Center asks states, UTs to speed up second dose and increase coverage

While reviewing the progress of Covid-19 vaccination with the Health Secretaries and Mission Directors of National Health Mission (NHM) of States and Union Territories through video conference, he said that the detailed line-lists of the payable beneficiaries would be used in the district preparedness. to be done. “So far 71.24 crore first dose COVID vaccines have been given covering 76% of eligible population and 30.06 crore second dose covering 32.0% eligible population have been given COVID vaccines,” the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in a release.

States and Union Territories were also suggested to conduct daily review of the progress of such district-wise scheme to ensure saturation of all eligible beneficiaries.
