Congress will get rid of drug addiction of 2 crore people of UP. Will find cricketers from UP for IPL, archers for Olympics. Will give loans for startups and businesses. Will also give stipend to lawyers and will restore student union in every university of UP. Apart from giving 20 lakh jobs, Priyanka has made these promises. Are these promises being fulfilled in those states where there are already Congress governments? Let’s take a closer look at that 10-page youth manifesto of Priyanka.

De-addiction: Will get rid of liquor of 1 crore 60 people of UP
Priyanka told the problem: She told the report of AIIMS. Drug and alcohol abuse has increased horribly in UP. Here 1 crore 60 lakh people are addicted to alcohol. There are also 28 lakh people who drink cannabis. 11 lakhs of heroin and opium eaters. They need help.

What will Congress do if it comes? Super Specialty Institute to be set up. A team of experts will be present in this. Will get rid of all these dirty habits from the youth. Along with this, it will also tell how to avoid depression.

It sounds fine to say, but: The AIIMS report which Priyanka was referring to was the same AIIMS studied in Punjab in 2015. It was said- Punjab has the highest drug addiction in the country. 28.5% of the population here is addicted to alcohol or some kind of intoxicant.

The country average is 14.6%. That is, Punjab stands at twice as much as other states. It is their government there for five years. This was also the case in the 2019 study. Now Priyanka is promising to get rid of drugs from the people of UP.

2. Startup and Business Loan: Rs 5000 crore Seed Startup Fund
Priyanka told the problem: The youth of the state are roaming around unemployed. They don’t even have money to start their own business.

What will Congress do if it comes? Priyanka said, “A Seed Startup Fund of Rs 5 thousand crore will be set up to promote startups. Preference will be given to entrepreneurs below 30 years of age.”

Not only this, business loan of 5 lakhs will be given to the youth of most backward communities like Nishad, Rajbhar, Mallah, Nonia, Kumhar, Weaver and Fisherman at just 1% interest rate.

It sounds fine to say, but: There are Congress governments in Rajasthan and Punjab. He has not started any such new scheme. Yes, the loan schemes that are already running have been retained.

By the way, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana 2022 is going to start in Chhattisgarh right now. His forms have started filling from 4 days ago. This loan will be available in June. In this loan up to 25 lakh will be available. Congress is in government in Chhattisgarh for 3 years. Maybe Priyanka’s promise is inspired by this.

3. Resumption of student union elections: Students’ union elections will be conducted in every university-college of UP
Priyanka told the problem:
Student union elections are not being held in degree colleges and universities of UP. Students have always had good penetration in politics. Have to rectify it.

What will Congress do if it comes? Student union elections will be held regularly in all colleges and universities. There are total 6 central universities and 30 state universities in the state.

Priyanka’s point is correct: Students union elections are resumed in all the three states of Punjab, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. However, for the last two years, student union elections have not been held anywhere. But the reason for this is Corona yes. Congress has also raised the flag of resumption of student union elections in Uttarakhand.

4. Education Budget: Will give stipend to young lawyers, will increase the entire budget
Priyanka told the problem:
The education budget for 2021-22 was very low. This was only 13% of the total budget. It should increase.

What will Congress do if it comes? Education will keep the budget more than 13%. Upgrade practical labs, libraries, hostels, sports grounds and messes in all schools and district level colleges.

Free Wi-Fi will be provided to universities and all district level colleges. Technology labs, virtual learning spaces and e-libraries will be built for certain universities.

Will start a 3-year assistance scheme. In this, young lawyers will get stipend according to their merit. The High Courts of Allahabad and Lucknow will arrange for library and accommodation around the campus.

This is true of Priyanka, but: in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan gave 19.1% in 2021-22 and the Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh gave 19% of the budget for education. Punjab had earmarked only 11.6% for 2021-22 for education. With the promise from UP, Priyanka should get it implemented in the state ruled by her party. The country average is 15.6%.

5. Sports: Will make the youth of UP up to 403rd Assembly fit for Olympics
Priyanka told the problem: The youth of UP are not getting proper arrangement for sports. Whereas there is full of talent. The craze of archery is seen in Sonbhadra’s Duddhi i.e. till 403rd assembly, wrestling and basketball etc. are prevalent in western UP. They need help.

What will Congress do if it comes? A world class academy will be built for the development of cricket in the state. Under-19 cricket tournaments will be held every year. Efforts will be made to send players performing well in IPL and other big tournaments.

It sounds fine to say, but: After the Rajasthan team is in the IPL, only a few Rajasthani players are seen in the tournament. No player is more popular in the world of cricket than Chhattisgarh. Last year 128 players went to Tokyo for the Olympics. Of these, only 4 were from Rajasthan. There was not a single player from Chhattisgarh. Yes, there were 19 players from Punjab. But earlier, 30-30 players have been going from Punjab itself.

Priyanka has described the recruitment legislation as a document of 7 crore youth, let’s see what happens
Releasing her youth manifesto, Priyanka Gandhi said that it is a document of the aspirations of 7 crore youth of Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi has claimed that in the last 5 years, 16 lakh people have lost jobs in UP. Every 24 hours, 880 youths of UP lose their jobs. The biggest problem of the youth of UP is the problems faced in recruitment and its process.
