Congress MP demands funds from Union Tourism Minister for development of Bhuvanagiri Fort in Telangana. Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy met the Union Tourism Minister on Sunday G Kishan Reddy in Delhi and urged them to ensure that sufficient funds are released for the restoration, renovation and further development of Bhuvanagiri Fort.
In a representation submitted to Union Minister Venkata Reddy, who is a local MP from Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha It was brought to their notice that the State Government had proposed a ropeway project which is pending. Even tenders were invited but the project has been put on hold.
Stating that the history of the fort dates back to the 10th century, he initially said
It was called Tribhuvanagiri, later its name was changed to Bhuvanagiri and eventually it came to be called as Bhongir Fort. the city of Bhuvanagiri/Bhongir It derives its name from this magnificent fort, which stands on a monolithic rock.
“It is spread over 50 acres at a height of about 500 feet on top of a cliff. It resembles an unusual egg-shaped structure covered with huge rocks, along with two main entry points. The fort surrounded by a moat has an underground chamber which is believed to be connected Golconda Fort Located 50 km away,” Venkat Reddy said.
