Maharashtra sees 8,535 new Covid-19 cases, 156 deaths, 6,013 cured. Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: Maharashtra On Sunday, 8,535 new coronavirus positive cases were reported and 156 people died, while 6,013 patients were cured. state health department said.
With the fresh addition, the number of cases in Maharashtra rose to 61,57,799 and the toll to 1,25,878. A statement said that with 1,16,165 active cases in the state, the total number of people who have been cured has gone up to 59,12,479.
Maharashtra’s case recovery rate is now 96.02 percent and the death rate is 2.04 percent.
Mumbai reported 558 new cases and 15 deaths during the day, taking the number of infections to 7,27,694 and the toll to 15,627.
The Mumbai division reported 1,704 new cases and 35 deaths, taking the caseload to 16,15,264 and the number of deceased patients to 33,022, the department said.
Nashik The division reported 852 fresh cases, including 429 in Ahmednagar district. The Pune division saw 2,139 cases, including 755 in Satara district, 565 in Pune district and 305 in Pune city, the department said.
Kolhapur division recorded the highest number of 3,282 cases in the state during the day, including 1,193 in Kolhapur district and 927 in Sangli district.
Aurangabad division saw 144 new infections including 114 in Aurangabad city.
283 cases were registered in Latur division, including 169 in Beed district, 83 in Akola division and 48 in Nagpur division.
The department said Nagpur city recorded five fresh cases during the day.
With 2,10,411 new tests, the number of samples tested for coronavirus in Maharashtra has reached 4,40,10,550 so far.
