Cong, Other Oppn Parties in Andamans to Hold Protests Over Rahul Gandhi’s Disqualification from LS

The Congress and other opposition parties in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have decided to hold joint demonstrations at three places in the archipelago this month against the disqualification. Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha.

Haldar also said that party workers from blocks and districts of the union territory will assemble at three places from 10 am to 5 pm on the days of the protest to support Rahul Gandhi in his fight against the ‘killers’ of democracy .

Gandhi, who represents the Wayanad parliamentary constituency in Kerala, was disqualified from the Lok Sabha on March 24, a day after he was convicted in a defamation case by a court in Gujarat’s Surat.
