Workers of the two parties have alleged that on Wednesday, male security personnel deployed by Delhi Police forcibly entered the Congress headquarters here and assaulted party workers and leaders. Some male personnel of the Rapid Action Force unit, who were also deployed, “carried out a scuffle with some women Congress workers”, alleged Pandey, and added, “Our complaint has been filed by the NHRC today.” Women Congress workers were prevented from exercising their right to protest “illegally and without any authority”, the complaints wrote to the rights panel.
