Coming soon: A mussel-like market in Greater Noida | Noida News – Times of India

Greater Noida: Greater Noida Authority have started preparing to develop commercial market complex on the lines of Delhi Connaught Place Near Sector Chi-Fei. Not yet named, the market complex is expected to cover an area of around 4-5 acres and will have 2-4 floors.
Of the many designs invited, final approval was given to a private consultant.
While the area has many residential and commercial units, it is also barely a kilometer away from the Yamuna Expressway, and is expected to gain momentum with the commencement of operations at the Jewar airport. Officials said work on it is expected to start formally after the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections next year.
The authority’s CEO Narendra Bhushan told TOI, “As part of its development plan there was a plan to build a big commercial hub in Greater Noida. Under this, we are planning to build a circular commercial hub near Sector Chi-Phi on the lines of Connaught Place in Delhi, with wide roads on four sides and an open space for a large roundabout.
According to Bhushan, there were several designs that were invited for the commercial hub. “But the final approval was given to a private consultant. We conducted a competition among selected leading architects and selected one of their designs,” he said. “The plan to build a commercial circle was initiated after the announcement of the Jewar airport increased its demand in the area.”
Officials said the commercial circle could be developed into quartets, where more than one firm would be hired. “The proposed area where the commercial circle is to be made has wide roads all around it. So, we have to decide whether we should take everything at once or take it one by one and develop it into four parts like a quartet. For this we can issue four separate tenders to maximize the desired result.
While the authority will work out the cost and tender details ahead of the UP assembly elections, officials plan to issue the first tender by April 1, 2022, and “construction work will start after the election results”.
