Noida: Resident Sector 50 has started a signature campaign, demand a sports facility On a vacant commercial plot between Jain Mandir and Mother Dairy Store, near Block F. For this he has urged the Noida authority to modify the land use of the plot in the interest of the children of the area.
According to RWA Among the housing societies in the region, there are about 20 apartment complexes in the area, with several shopping complexes and local markets in the vicinity. Therefore, there is no need for a commercial complex in the designated area which falls in the middle of the residential lanes. Instead, it should be converted into a sports facility for the residents.
Manju Gupta, RWA member of Windsor Greens Apartments in the sector, said a commercial complex in F block would ruin the quality of life in the residential area. “Noida authority needs to invest in social infrastructure as well. Our children are our future. Investing in our children is securing a healthy future for our country,” she said.
Ajay Upadhyay, president of Mahagun Maestro Apartments RWA in Sector 50, said, “We already have a huge market in Sector 50. Why are many other plots in F Block designated as commercial complexes?” While 1,400 families from 20 apartment complexes have already participated in the signature campaign, demanding a sports facility vacant plot, several others from adjoining areas are also engaged in this exercise and will submit a fresh petition to the authority.
Sector 51 RWA general secretary Sanjeev Kumar said, “The land under consideration has been lying unutilized for the last two decades. Even 10 years ago, developing a market here would have served a purpose.
