During the meeting, the CM was also informed that an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh (from CMRF) is being paid to the next of kin of each COVID deceased in the state. “Till now, 3,704 such families have been paid Rs 4 lakh each. A total of Rs 141.16 crore has been released from CMRF so far.
“Similarly, Rs 100 crore was paid to people stranded at different places during the lockdown. An amount of Rs 1,000 each was transferred from CMRF to the bank accounts of 21 lakh people of Bihar origin during the lockdown,” the official said.
The Board of Trustees approved the proposal to nominate Anupam Kumar, Secretary to CM, in place of Chanchal as the new Member-Secretary of the Board.
