CISF organizes mass tree plantation drive at Kolkata airport. Kolkata News – Times of India

Kolkata : Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) organized a mass tree plantation drive on the premises of Kolkata airport on Sunday.
During the plantation programme, around 250 officers of CISF led by KCS Ray, DIG/Airport (East & North East) of CISF and about 450 saplings of various edible plants were planted by senior officers of Kolkata airport. Neem, Guava, Tamarind, Jamrul, Bakul, Mango, Amla, Bakul Mahneem and Jackfruit They were installed inside the NAD colony outside Kolkata airport.
“CISF is raising plantation program To promote the importance of afforestation at its facilities across the country,” said DIG Ray.
Bidhannagar Police, Airport Authority of India and officials of several airlines along with their family members were present on the occasion on Sunday morning.
‘Sanrakshika’ or the CISF Wives Welfare Association Along with this, he gave his full support to this effort by joining the mass tree plantation campaign. President “Conservator”, Mrs. Priyamvada Saxena with other senior members SanrakshikaOfficers, personnel and their families participated in the drive and planted saplings of fruit bearing and traditional Indian trees at CISF Complex 5th Reserve Battalion, Ghaziabad.
A total of 2.33 lakh saplings were planted in all 352 units and 75 units of CISF across the country.
