Born on May 16, 1988, to action director Sham Kaushal and housewife Veena Kaushal, Vicky completed his schooling from Sheth Chunnilal Dabodardas Barfiwala High School, Mumbai. After acting in plays and skits at school, he was destined for the stage.

Vicky Kaushal’s father wanted his son to have a stable career away from show business, so the Bollywood actor pursued a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications. He attended Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

Vicky then enrolled in acting classes at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute. He made his Bollywood debut as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap on the sets of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. He then played minor roles in two of Kashyap’s productions.

Vicky Kaushal made his debut as a lead actor with ‘Masaan’. Kaushal rose to prominence in 2018 with supporting roles in Raazi and Sanju, two of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year. In 2019, Kaushal starred as an army officer in the film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. which was a huge commercial success.

the collective The actor is now married to actor Katrina Kaif. The two dated each other for two years, but kept their relationship a secret. The two tied the knot on December 9, 2021, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Rajasthan.
