Cash Van Guard ‘accidentally’ Opens Fire Outside Atm In Tinsukia, Held | Guwahati News – Times of India

Dibrugarh: Panic gripped Tinsukia town on Wednesday when the security guard of an ATM cash van ‘accidentally’ opened fire in front of the main SBI branch there. However, no one was injured in the incident as the security guard was inside the van when he triggered the bullet from his single-barrel gun.
The incident took place when the cash van was depositing money in the SBI ATM and the person concerned was guarding the vehicle. It is suspected that the safety latch of the gun was not locked resulting in the ‘accidental’ mishap.
The police rushed to the spot soon after the incident. The guard was detained. An investigation has been launched.
