BJP leaders meeting at PM’s residence: Arvind Kejriwal fears – BJP may hold elections in Gujarat ahead of time due to fear of AAP

Expressing apprehension, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP may prematurely dissolve the assembly in Gujarat. He tweeted that BJP is scared of AAP in Gujarat and may announce elections by dissolving assembly already. Here, the meeting of Gujarat BJP leaders is going on for the last 1 hour at the Prime Minister’s residence.

According to the report, many veteran leaders of the state including Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupinder Patel, State President CR Patil are present at the PM residence. The term of the assembly in Gujarat is ending on February 18, 2023.

AAP active in Gujarat after winning Punjab
After winning Punjab, your eyes are on Gujarat. The party had last month appointed Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak in charge of Gujarat elections. Pathak was earlier watching the party’s election campaign in Punjab.

Earlier this month, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Ahmedabad.

Election to be held on 182 seats
Gujarat has 182 assembly seats. Elections are proposed in the state in November-December. In 2017, the BJP had won 99 seats. On the other hand, Congress had won 79 seats. However, the Aam Aadmi Party registered a strong presence in the Surat Municipal Corporation elections last year. In such a situation, this time in Gujarat, a triangular contest is being considered on many seats.
