A group of villagers then told the police that trouble happened when Bablu went to ask the children playing cricket there to vacate their garden.
Bablu told the police that he and his men had gone to the village after learning about an attempt to “encroach on land” in the garden. He said he was attacked by villagers and his licensed rifle was looted. His vehicle was also vandalized by the villagers.
However, Minister Narayan Prasad accused the villagers of trying to take over their land in the garden. He said the villagers first attacked his younger brother, who had gone to the village to protest the encroachment on his land by the locals.
