Sources said the chief minister will have to tread carefully while choosing his cabinet as he has to take along all lobbies within the party, including Himachal Pradesh Congress chief Pratibha Singh.

Nearly a month after its victory in the Himachal Pradesh assembly polls, the Congress is yet to finalize names for the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu cabinet, even as the chief minister held consultations with top party leaders late on Monday evening. went to Delhi to do Cabinet formation but for the posts of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.

Sukhu said, “All Congress MLAs are unitedly working for the development of the state.”

He said that the state government was committed to fulfill all the 10 promises made to the people in a phased manner. He said that the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) would be implemented in the first meeting of the cabinet itself.

The party will also hold a “gratitude” rally in Dharamshala ahead of the winter session for its recent victory in the assembly elections.

Meanwhile, the BJP has been attacking the Congress for its inability to put together a cabinet team.
