Badshah confirms ‘childhood love’ boy Sahdev Dirdo regains consciousness after road accident

Rapper Badshah confirmed on Twitter, 10-year-old boy Sahdev Dirdo, who rose to fame after his ‘Bachchan ka Pyaar’ video went viral, has regained consciousness after suffering a head injury in a road accident on Tuesday.

“Sahdev is better now and has regained consciousness. Will go to Raipur to see a good neurosurgeon. Thank you for your prayers,” wrote Badshah. On Tuesday, Badshah informed fans about the accident with Sahdev and wrote, “In touch with Sahdev’s family and friends. He is unconscious, being taken to the hospital. I am there for him. Your prayers are needed.”

Sukma superintendent Sunil Sharma said the accident took place here at around 6.30 pm in Shabri Nagar area and Dirdo, who was not wearing a helmet, fell and sustained serious head injuries, while the rider suffered minor injuries.

Sharma said the boy was taken to the district hospital and after initial treatment was shifted to Jagdalpur Medical College Hospital.

As soon as the information of the accident was received, Sukma Collector Vineet Nandanwar and Sharma visited the district hospital and inquired about their well being. An official statement said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel directed Nandanwar to provide best medical aid to the deer at the earliest.

Durdo, a native of tribal-dominated and Naxal-affected Sukma district, became an internet sensation in the middle of this year after a video of him singing ‘Bachpan ka pyar’ in school uniform went viral.

The video was reportedly shot by his school teacher inside his classroom in 2019. She also starred in a new version of the song with rapper Badshah, which was released in August.
