Srinagar: An assistant sub-inspector was killed and two others were injured when militants opened fire on a police naka in Lal Bazar area of Srinagar district on Tuesday.
A top police officer said that the terrorists attacked the police naka in Lal Bazar. One ASI, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, died in the incident, while two others sustained bullet injuries.
Both the injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. More details are awaited.
