On Monday on World Population Day, adityanath Said that “population stabilization” should be uniform across different sections of the people. The UP CM and senior BJP leader said, “It should not happen that the pace of population growth or the percentage of a community is high and we stabilize the population of ‘Mulnivasi’ (native residents) through awareness or enforcement.”
“Such a situation may adversely affect the religious demography and after some time ‘vikar’ (chaos) and ‘anarchata’ (anarchy) may start in that country,” he said.
SP MP Shafiqur Rehman Barak also hit out at the UP government, alleging that it was looking at population growth from a “special angle”.
“It is up to the Almighty to give birth to a child. When a child is delivered by Allah, the risk associated with it is also sent by the Almighty,” the Sambhal MP told reporters on Monday night. He urged the Yogi Adityanath government on population control. Instead of making laws, he also advised to focus on education.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also attacked Yogi Adityanath’s remarks and asked whether Muslims were not native to India. “Aren’t Muslims the natives of India? If we see the reality, the natives are only tribal and Dravidian people. In UP, without any laws, the desired fertility rate will be achieved by 2026-2030,” he was quoted as saying by ANI Was said.
