Now, a new leak suggests that Apple is planning to implement a new feature that will allow users to track their workouts without the need for an iPhone.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debbie Wu claim that the Apple AirPods 2 will have built-in fitness sensors that will allow users to track their activities without being connected to an iPhone.
samsung Something similar was already implemented with the Gear IconX launched in 2018, which featured fitness sensors as well as 4GB of storage space for those who want to listen to music during workouts. Reports also suggest that when the upcoming AirPods 2 will be paired with the Apple Watch, Apple may allow for better activity tracking.
Apple is known for its implementation of features and tuning them to work to the best of their ability. However, it will be nice to see how Apple takes these sensors and improves them on the next generation of AirPods.
It is to be noted that not much information is available about the upcoming AirPods Pro. But, leaks suggest that the second generation AirPods Pro will feature a redesign and a smaller form factor than the running mode. Also, the H1 chip responsible for faster connectivity, audio processing and noise cancellation will also be replaced with a next-generation chip.
