Amitabh Bachchan tried to troll Ajay Devgan but later he made a comeback. On Saturday, the Runway 34 stars were seen indulging in a friendly Twitter joke as part of promotions for their upcoming film. Amitabh teases Ajay for ‘breaking the rules’ by re-sharing his iconic entry scene from Ajay’s Phool Aur Kaante. Sharing the picture, Amitabh wrote, “Sirji his record hi hai to break the rules! Range Hatho has been found guilty @AjayDevgn, now what is the answer for Doge? #Runway34 (He is known to break the rules. He has been caught red handed here. How will you respond to this).”
In response, Ajay dug up Amitabh’s picture from his iconic film Sholay. In the picture, in a still from the song Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge, Amitabh was seen riding a bike while Dharmendra was sitting on his shoulder and playing a mouth organ. Sharing the picture, Ajay wrote, ‘Sir, you were saying.
Their Twitter exchange split Amitabh’s son, actor Abhishek Bachchan. “Hahaha. Loving this joke,” tweeted Abhishek. Rakul Preet Singh, who is also in Runway 34, also shared her reaction to their banter. He wrote, “As always Captain Vikrant is on top of his game #Runway34 @MrBachchan @AjayDevGan.”
Amitabh and Ajay reunited after many years for Runway 34. He was earlier seen in films like Major Saab and Khaki. As per reports, runway 34 is based on 2015 Jet Airways’ Doha-Kochi flight, which narrowly escaped after facing difficulties due to unclear visibility. The film is directed and produced by Ajay Devgan. It is also co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Sandeep Harish Keolani, Tarlok Singh Jethi, Hasnain Hussaini and Jai Kanujia. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, it also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Akanksha Singh and Angira Dhar in pivotal roles. Runway 34 is also the Bollywood debut of YouTuber CarryMinati.
