Two days ago, Alia Bhatt sent the internet into a meltdown with a dreamy picture of their intimate low-key wedding on April 14. The love birds tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at RK’s Palli Hill Haveli- Vastu. While several pictures are going viral on the internet, on Saturday, the Student of the Year actress stunned her fans by revealing beautiful glimpses of her mehendi ceremony.
Alia on Saturday posted some memorable pictures from the pre-wedding celebrations on Instagram. In the first picture, we see Ranbir and Alia holding each other close. Scrolling further, we see happy faces along with other members of the girl gang including Alia along with her friend Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, as they all sat down to apply mehendi on Alia’s palm. As we scroll further, we see Ranbir Kapoor wearing a pink kurta-pyjama and Nehru jacket, while he smiles and holds a portrait of his father and late actor Rishi Kapoor amid his performance at the ceremony .
In the next snap, sisters Alia and Shaheen are seen laughing out of their hearts as the bride’s close friend and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji places a kiss on Alia’s cheek. We see Alia looking beautiful in a pink outfit. There are some more beautiful glimpses between the bride and groom as we see Ranbir pulling Alia’s cheek, and her name written on the actor’s palm. We also catch a glimpse of Ranbir and mother Neetu Kapoor’s performance as Kareena Kapoor Khan cheers for them in the background.
The last picture is a romantic picture of Alia and Ranbir as she hugs them close to her.
Alia Bhatt penned a long note sharing the special moments of her mehendi ceremony with her fans.
She wrote, “Mehndi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our best friends, lots of french fries, a surprise performance by the boys, Ayaan playing the DJ, a big surprise organized by Mr. Kapoor (my favorite artist performed my favorite songs), followed by some happy tears and calm, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are some days… and then there are days!.”
Soon after the pictures were shared, her industry friends including Jacqueline Fernandez, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor dropped heart emoticons in the comments as they showered love on the newlyweds.
Lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been in a relationship for five years. They made their first appearance as a couple at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception in 2018. Post-wedding, Alia Bhatt too posted an emotional note on Instagram remembering their journey together and thanked everyone for their love and support.
