Alec Baldwin’s wife recalls a ‘challenging year’ after actor’s Rust prop misfire

Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, recalled their year and their struggles in her Thanksgiving post. The actor and his wife find it difficult to deal with the investigation after the murder of a cinematographer on the sets of the film Rust. She shared a video on Instagram that shows her kids dancing in a supermarket. Along with this, he wrote, ‘I did not take photos of my entire family today. Here Carmen and Marilu are dancing in the supermarket ️.”

Recalling her struggles she continued, “I want to tell you all how grateful I am for you. It has been one of a challenging year. I know for many, many of us… But I’ll just speak from personal experience. Sometimes I didn’t think I was going to get over it. I want you to know how much you’ve helped me with some dark struggles. Knowing that you were there – Such a comfort. Yes, my kids and my husband, my family and close friends have been invaluable… but you, I don’t get to express this face to face, due to the nature of social media and how far apart we all are are… I want you to know and take in how grateful I am for you every day. I miss our chats and the safety net of our community. I hope one day we’ll be back there. Struggle has taught me one thing is to say “I love you more.” In my opinion, that’s what it’s all about. So, I love you so much… with all my, grateful soul. Happy Gratitude Day.”

Alec and Hilaria are parents to six children.

Last month, a prop misfire by the actor killed Rust’s cinematographer Helena Hutchins and injured the director. The film’s director, Joel Souza, was injured, though not seriously, in an accident that shocked the whole of Hollywood and led to calls for a ban on the use of real firearms.

Meanwhile, Baldwin was recently seen speaking to the press last month. The actor was seen with his wife Hilaria Baldwin as the two appeared in a Vermont roadside interview on Saturday. Most notable was Hilaria’s repeated objections during the sudden interaction with the press. Both Hilaria and Alec were seen filming their interactions with the press on their smartphones. Netizens criticized Hilaria’s behavior and called her “desperate for attention” as she tried to defend her husband during an uncomfortable exchange with the press. In interview footage shared by The Recount, Alec told reporters: “A woman died. She was my friend.”
