Oh My God 2 (2023)
Oh My God 2 arrived more than a decade after its predecessor, which featured Paresh Rawal back in 2012. This satirical comedy-drama serves as a follow-up to the blockbuster OMG- Oh My God. Directed by Amit Rai, the film stars Akshay Kumar portraying the divine character of Lord Shiva. Apart from Akshay, the movie also features Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the legendary television series Ramayan. Oh My God 2 hit the theatres on August 11.
Selfiee (2023)
Selfiee made its theatrical debut on February 24, 2023. In this movie, Akshay Kumar shared the screen with Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushrratt Bharuccha, under the direction of Raj Mehta. Additionally, Mrunal Thakur made a special appearance alongside Akshay Kumar in a song. The film initially had a sluggish start in terms of box office performance, marking it as Akshay Kumar’s least successful opener, grossing a net of Rs 16.85 crore at the Indian box office, as per Bollywood Hungama.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2023)
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is being hailed as the ultimate action-packed extravaganza, featuring the dynamic duo of action superstars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Crafted and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this cinematic gem is gearing up for a multilingual release, spanning Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Currently in the pre-production phase, filming commenced in January 2023, with a grand Christmas 2023 release.
Mission Raniganj (2023)
Mission Raniganj is a movie that tells the true story of a man named Jaswant Singh Gill, who was a top engineer in a mine. The movie is all about a big accident that happened in a coal mine in 1989. Jaswant Singh Gill saved more than 60 people’s lives during that accident. In the movie, Akshay Kumar will play the role of Jaswant Gill and Parineeti Chopra will essay the role of his wife. This will mark Akshay and Parineeti’s second collaboration. In addition to them, Kumud Sharma, Ravi Kishan, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya will also play important roles. The movie, directed by Suresh Desai, is slated to hit the theatres on October 5.
Welcome To The Jungle (2024)
The movie Welcome To The Jungle promises to take fans on a hilarious ride. The film will feature Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, and Lara Dutta. It is directed by Ahmed Khan and will come out around Christmas in 2024. Firoz Nadiadwala is at the helm of this production, and negotiations are underway with a major film company to collaborate on the project, according to Pinkvilla.
