Ajay Devgn with Bear Grylls on his Indian Ocean adventure

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn began his journey to the Indian Ocean with Bear Grylls for the skill-based reality show ‘Into the Wild’. He says it was an adventurous journey and a completely different experience from what he did in his film career. The journey also acted as a small break for him.

Ajay says: “My September break in the Indian Ocean worked out for me in many ways. It was my first trip to ‘Into the Wild’ with Bear Grylls. I started my film career 30 years ago in films like Dangerous But what I did during the ITW trip with Bear was completely different. It was scary, thrilling, adventurous, exhilarating and so much more. It also served as a short personal break.”

World-renowned adventurers Bear Grylls and Ajay Devgn travel through the shark-infested sea and end up facing the harsh weather conditions, eventually heading to the uninhabited islands.

He shares his toughest moments of the journey: “Well, I had so much nervous energy when I was doing my stunts with Bear, I can’t remember each moment separately. Overall, let me tell you. when I was in the middle of the deep sea and the bear was trying to come to rescue me in a helicopter and took me to a nearby island, the water was dangerous. The air and water pressure of the helicopter machine in which I The drowning was neck deep. Very dangerous. Of course, I had full faith in the bear but I must confess, I could barely keep my head above the water.”

Ajay says he loves the jungles but the more challenging was the sea: “I love the jungles, so it was a little easier. The bear knows its way around the wild, he’s a natural. I just followed him, But it was the sea that presented challenges.”

During the show we often see Grylls eating the weird stuff in his campaigns. And to which Ajay was introduced by him and the Bollywood police replied: “Kachchi fish! I must confess, it was not what I wanted. However, when you are in the jungle, you have to survive.” So, what you eat is given to you.”

When asked why he accepted the offer, he said that being a big fan of Bear, Ajay immediately said ‘yes’: “I took it up because I’m a big fan of Bear Grylls. He A master adventurer, he is a great human being. And an adventurer. I wanted to spend time in nature and who could be better than a bear as a companion.”

Talking about his upcoming projects, he revealed: “I am currently shooting for my home production ‘May Day’, which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. I am also directing this film. Also, I have ‘Maidan’, a biopic on one of India’s football legends. I am also making my OTT debut with ‘Rudra – The Age of Darkness’, in which I play the lead role. Three more projects are being finalized. And, I have three very special roles in SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Into the Wild with Bear Grylls and Ajay Devgn will stream on Discovery+ on October 22. The show is scheduled to premiere on October 25 on 14 linear channels including Discovery Channel.
