Aishwarya Sakhuja to replace Disha Vakani?
Aishwarya Sakhuja is rumoured to be replacing Disha Vakani as Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, and now the actress has opened up about it
Disha Vakani aka Dayaben has long moved away from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which is quite disappointing for Jethalal and the audience. However, the makers have not yet roped in anyone for this role. Recently, he started looking for a fresh face to become Dayaben. Now, rumors are doing the rounds that Aishwarya Sakhuja might play the role.
It is being claimed in many reports that Aishwarya Sahuja will be the new Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Now, the actress herself has cleared the air and opened up about it. Talking to Pinkvilla, she confirmed that she had indeed auditioned for the role. She said, “I was tested for the role but I don’t think I am doing it.” He didn’t give any explanation as to why.
Earlier, it was also rumored that Rakhi Vijan will replace Disha Vakani as Dayaben in the show. He too denied the rumour. He wrote on his Instagram, “Hello everyone..This news is a rumour..which shocks me..I have not been approached by the makers or the channel.”
Disha Vakani went on maternity leave in 2017 and was never seen back in the show. There were many rumors that producer Asit Modi tried to get her back, but she never believed. Like the fans, Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi also misses his kindness. In a recent interview, he had said, “Sometimes I also look at old clips and think hey when did you do this scene. I have done many scenes with him in the last 10 years. I also enjoy watching those scenes. Yes, personally I miss Disha ji a lot. The fun of doing a scene that comes with a co-actor that I definitely miss it.”
