The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) on Friday said that a pilot of an Air India flight from Dubai to Delhi allowed a female friend into the cockpit on February 27 in violation of safety norms.

An investigation into the matter has been initiated, the aviation regulatory body has been added.

Air India offloaded unruly passenger

In another incident that took place on April 10, Air India offloaded an unruly passenger from its Delhi-London flight, who had returned to the national capital. Sources said flight AI 111, which had around 225 passengers on board, returned to the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) as there was an unruly male passenger on board. The unruly passenger was offloaded at the airport and the plane later took off for London Heathrow.
