Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) witnessed huge growth in terms of sales. The automaker reported an 87 percent increase in domestic wholesale sales to 16,500 units last month. The company had sold 8,801 units in June last year. The official added that the new Glanza has received an overwhelming response from the customers and the booking orders continue to be very promising.

“Both of our self-charging hybrid electric vehicles, Camry Hybrid and Vellfire, have also received tremendous appreciation and a true testament to this is our semi-annual cumulative sales which have been the best in the last four years,” Sood said. Moreover, demand from segment leaders like Crysta and Fortuner is peaking, and customer orders are increasing, he said.

“The Legend too, which has carved a niche for itself in the SUV segment so far, continues to receive booking orders. Toyota is known for its SUVs across the globe and we at TKM celebrate our upcoming foray into the popular B SUV. Very excited about the segment in India,” Sood said.
