The food delivery company noted in a LinkedIn post yesterday that the Gallantry Awards recognize the important role that delivery partners play in its operations.

Announcing the award winners, Zomato said, “Among the remarkable stories we heard are those who are dedicated to serving people above and beyond their work ethic and call of duty.”

Shivaji Balaji Pawar was recognized for ‘Going Above and Beyond’ along with Vijayan.

Pawar will represent India in the Asia Cup in 2023. “Being born with a polio infection hasn’t deterred Shivaji from playing top-class cricket,” Zomato commented.

The food aggregator also honored two of its ‘Most Consistent Partners’ and three of its ‘Highest Achievers’.

The rewards were presented on Zomato’s 14th anniversary, which was also marked by a promotional offer that offered a free lunch to 14 lucky customers.
