‘Against Punjab’: Top Congress leaders join BJP furious over breach in PM Modi’s security

PM Modi security lapse: A top Congress leader on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party’s outrage over an alleged security breach during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab.

Former Punjab unit president of Congress Sunil Jakhar termed the incident as unacceptable which was against ‘Punjabiat’.

In a tweet, Jakhar said, “What happened today is not acceptable. It is against Punjab. A safe passage should have been ensured for the Prime Minister of India to address the BJP’s political rally in Ferozepur. Democracy like that.” Works.”

We know Congress hates PM, they tried to harm him: BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party president JP Nadda slammed the Congress government in Punjab and alleged that it was trying to give “every possible gimmick” to PM Modi’s programs in the state, where elections are due in the next few months. Jadda said that CM Charanjit Singh Channi did not even pick up his phone.

Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Union Minister Smriti Irani described today’s incident as an attempt to harm the PM.

“Why did those leading the security from the state government not respond to any calls or efforts to secure the PM? When PM Modi’s security was breached, the Congress leaders jumped with joy, asking him what his enthusiasm was. How it is!” Irani said, referring to a tweet by Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas Biwi.

“Prime Minister Modi, as generous as ever, while going back, ‘I am returning alive!’ We know that Congress hates PM Modi, but today, they tried to harm the Prime Minister of India. Such is the law and order situation in Punjab that DGP, Police claim that they provide security assistance and support to the PMO. Unable to provide security details,” Irani added.
